Welcome to our website.

"To Have or Have Not" is the title of a series of nonfiction books we plan to publish which will provide many perspectives of the time-honored tradition of marriage. The first book in this series is subtitled "I Married the Man of my Dreams and Other Nightmares."

As you can see by the title, this will not be the conventional "happy ending - all is great" type of publication. Instead, we will be entering territory which has not often or honestly been previously portrayed. It is not our intent to diminish the ideal or institution of marriage. We will, however, depict the reality of marriage and hopefully change the way we enter into such a serious commitment that affects the outcome of our lives and our children’s lives forever.

Believe it or not, this book will be written primarily by you. Under the heading entitled “Chapter Titles” listed above, you will find the titles of the proposed chapters we intend on including in "I Married the Man of my Dreams and Other Nightmares." These titles will help guide you if you wish to partake in the creation of this book by submitting an essay for consideration. You simply choose a title that motivates you, one you can relate to, click on the “Survey” page and let your feelings flow.   It’s perfectly acceptable to write something that does not fit into a chapter title. You may very well inspire us to add or replace a topic we have already proposed. We welcome all your thoughts, personal stories, and points of view on marriage.  Please feel free to submit multiple essays under, or up to, 500 words.

Under the heading entitled “Survey” you will find some questions that will provide us with information regarding your background, such as your age, how many years you have been married, if you are divorced, etc. All your information will remain confidential and your essays, if selected for publication, will not contain your name. If we choose your essay, we will contact you by email upon publication.  Please be aware that by submitting your survey answers and essay to us via email, you are giving us the right to publish your information.  We also reserve the right, if necessary, to edit your submissions.  Once again, you may rest assured that your names will not be made public.

We are looking for submissions from women only, 18 or older. Whether you are straight or gay, it doesn’t matter; we welcome all points of view.

Have fun with this, ladies. Let’s tell the world what marriage is really about.
